Activity start year: 1920
Short history of activity:
The statistical data on education are obtained by processing the information collected through exhaustive statistical surveys on university/school units. These statistical surveys are conducted annually, making sure that data are collected for both the beginning and the end of the academic/school year. As it is necessary to decipher the reasons and the meaning of social phenomena, this study instrument based on counting improved over the time. The first data records on the literate population were performed in 1920; after 1946, the information collected became more and more detailed.
