The expenditure methodology for the environment protection
Data on investments for the environment protection and the current expenditure exist since 1995. Beginning with 1999, a programme that aligned the indicators of environmental costs to the Eurostat requests was developed. Since 2000, there are data that cover the industrial sector (NACE Rev.1 10-36), the specialized producers (NACE Rev.1 37, 41, 5157, 90) and the local public administration (NACE Rev.1 75). The unspecialised producers include units from the following fields: sylviculture (NACE Rev.2 02), from 2006, mining, manufacturing industry, electricity, gas and water supply (NACE Rev.2 05 to 43 with the exception of the divisions and classes mentioned for the specialised producer group). The specialised producers include the units for water collection, treatment and supply (NACE Rev.2 36); units for sewerage (NACE Rev.2 37); waste collection, treatment and disposal activities; materials recovery (NACE Rev.2 38); units for activitati si servicii de decontaminare; units for waste and scrap wholesale units (class 4677). The public administration sector includes the local government units (NACE Rev.2 8411) and the central public administration sector (from 2006). Starting 2008 are disseminating to the new NACE Rev.2.
